Synopsis
Taking the taboo out of POO!

Everybody poops—it’s true! It’s time to blow the door right off the bathroom, and shine a light on what happens on the loo.

For the little ones just discovering the contents of their diapers and nappies, the bigger ones needing reassurance that their most mysterious bodily function is as natural as can be, and the biggest ones who still hold a fondness for toilet humor, Everybody Poops! is piled high with bold and audacious illustrations and the truth about who’s doing the pooing: every body is doing it!

My Thoughts
How can I ignore a book with a title like this? Here are my pros and cons for Everybody Poops!:

Pros

  1. Hilarious illustrations (by Olga Zhuravlova) that show a lot of humans and animals and insects pooping (see Con #1)!
  2. Any kid who can read at all will want this book after seeing the title!
  3. For children who have recently discovered their poop and pooping abilities this book would be a cute way to explain that everybody else does the same thing.
  4. It might also be a good for toilet training because there are many images of people using toilets. Of course, there are also images of people pooping outdoors… so the message might be confusing! HA!
  5. I didn’t find an age recommendation listed for this book, but I think kids from age 2 to about 8 or so would find this book amusing.

Cons

  1. The illustrations show a lot of humans and animals and insects pooping! If you don’t want to see subtle illustrations of butts and a whole lot of poop, this may not be for you.
  2. There isn’t much of a story. It is literally just pages and pages of various people and critters pooping in various places.

Summary
I honestly don’t think I’ve ever typed the word poop so many times in my life! HA! I recognize that this book may not be for everyone, but I’m pretty sure your kids will love it!
