Well, I am back from vacation and what a trip it was!!! If you recall, my sister and I took our parents on a trip to Arizona to see the sites as their 50th Anniversary gift. Here’s what we did:
We kissed a giraffe, pet a rhino, explored Antelope Canyon, visited Glen Canyon Dam, hiked to Horseshoe Bend, marveled at the Grand Canyon, enjoyed Monument Valley and listened to a performance of traditional Native American music in a hogan, took a beautiful drive through the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest, stood on the corner in Winslow, drove through the stunningly beautiful Oak Creek Canyon many times, took a crazy bumpy Jeep ride to the Mogollon Rim in Sedona, climbed the Merry-Go-Round vortex, saw beautiful views from the Sedona Airport Scenic area, watched javelinas running through the yard at our Sedona house, visited the ancient ruins at Montezuma’s Castle and Montezuma’s Well, hiked through Slide Rock State Park, and chased some quail through Cave Creek Regional Park! 😀 We did so much I might even be forgetting some things!!!
We did a lot of souvenir shopping and ate some fabulous meals! We also took about a million pictures between the 4 of us!
Ultimately, we made a ton of memories!
I don’t think I’ve ever heard my parents say WOW so many times in my life. I’m pretty sure they had a fabulous time! 😉 I know my sister and I did. We recognize and appreciate the blessing it was for us to be able to give this trip to our parents for their 50th Anniversary gift and to experience it with them. We all had a spectacular time and loved every minute!
For fun, I’m posting the picture of me kissing the giraffe!
I was able to read two books during my vacation. I thought I’d do more but we were pretty darn busy all week! Reviews for the books will come soon – hopefully, I’ll have one ready for tomorrow.
